Malt Loaf

The best malt loaf you'll ever have the pleasure to slice and butter. Handed down through the generations of my family and brought to you now by the power of the Internet.

Makes 1 loaf
1 cup All-Bran cereal
1 cup Mixed Fruit
1 cup Soft Brown Sugar
1 cup Milk
1 cup Self-Raising Flour
  1. Mix All-Bran, mixed fruit, brown sugar and milk in a large bowl.
  2. Cover and leave in the fridge over night.
  3. Add self-raising flour, mix well.
  4. Put into a lined loaf tin, cover top of mixture with greaseproof paper. Cook at 190C (GM5), for 3/4 to 1 hour.
